As part of the Canadian governments' multi-political-party visit to the Baltic countries in March 1991 (along with Liberal Jesse Flis), and NDPer D. Stupich), Pauline addressed the 4th Citizens Kongress with very positive words of support, (translation by Reet Marten-Sehr), much to the chagrin of the local communists that were trying to get in front of the Estonian independence movement.
She also met with several prominent Estonian leaders both outside and inside the Estonian government, (Kelam, Velliste, Meri, Lauristen, Nugis) , so she understood the complexities in the fight for Estonian re-independence.
This lady deserves our support.
Everybody in her riding should make a concnetrated effort to get out and vote for her !!!

All of this is lovely, however, the fact reamins that Hon. Ms. Bowes is just a slight bit out of touch with today's issues.
