A timely and well written piece Mr. Leivat. However, it is not all that difficult to understand why the organs of the state in Estonia refuse to confront their political skeletons of the past when many of these same skeletons continue to haunt the political present and future.

Estonia's parliament has sufficient ex reds to warrant caution. They fear the political and legal fallout from such a resolution. It would have implications for them personally.
