I don't know if Russia can mastermind another Crimea in Estonia, but this past week some Russians held a small rally at the Latvian Embassy in Moscow promoting Latgale (eastern region of Latvia) as a part of Russia. See web-link below. My answer to this "provocation" is that Latgale was also part of Poland historically (and in a big way). So if anyone is going to be inspired to do anything, perhaps Poland as a NATO member should come in and "save" Latgale from its eastern neighbors instead. If "history is everything" to Russian provocateurs, then we must definitely remember the large presence of Poland, Sweden, Baltic Germans (and others) in Baltic history.

It is interesting to note that Latgale does indeed have a Polish minority which could be suppressed by a Russian invasion. And Russians have a poor record as far as Polish rights are concerned. Note the 1940 massacre of Polish officers In Katyn forest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K...
And the Polish President's plane which crashed in Smolensk in 2010 on a visit to Katyn had been recently repaired in Russia with used and probably defective parts.
