I have indeed heard from more than one person that Russia (or China alone) is no match for the USA and NATO. I have also heard from the same people that this is a major reason for the current joint Russian-Chinese military cooperation. Together, Russia and China may be a match for the USA and NATO. See:

It should also be noted that some reports suggest that the Russia-China military cooperation has been planned "underneath" for some time and is not a recent phenomenon. If this is true, then the public needs to know. Because of this I have recently developed a strong distaste of 'Made in China" products, which is unfortunate but understandable considering the current drift of things.
