But how will it pay for itself? Upgrades and ongoing operations require real dollars..

Well, some are taken by surprise. Unlike the Estonian Centre proposal, this is not about "belief" nor is it about "money, money, money". Nor are the images, literal and figurative, "lovely" or "nostalgic". The statement articulates a coherent and forward-looking vision and a welcome strategy. The Centre of Excellence makes leadership part of the mandate (a shift from equating leadership and authority with power) and the Pavilion is an architecturally site-appropriate and flexible concept. Nice name, "Tulge Külla", interesting phonetically and a pleasant surprise in translation. I'm looking forward to hearing more.

“A Project” is definitely someone not contaminated by the “we must listen, we must not rise up against the majority” narrative. They accurately perceived, as it seems the Tulge Külla implicitly attempted to convey, that the so-called “disgruntled minority” may not actually be the minority after all! The “minority” are those that have been bold enough to voice their opinions based on the silent frustrations and fear of a very quiet, timid and intimidated majority who, for one reason or another, feel impotent or ignored in this process. Maybe when the group releases a visual depiction of their Pavilion the so-called minority might gather and party in celebration, just like when Caravan took place in Toronto and the old Esto House was one of the most happening spots in the passbook!!

As a matter of fact Caravan is alive and going strong in its thirty-something years as Carassauga in Mississauga: "It was created in response to a challenge put out by Mayor Hazel McCallion to all ethno cultural groups at a meeting of her calling in the old City Hall in the fall of 1985" and "is now recognized as the 2nd largest cultural Festival in Canada in terms of visits and ethnic diversity representation". Hazel McCallion, at 96, is also going strong. She is the Chief Elder Officer at Revera.

As for Ontario Place, it is now a park open longer hours than most gyms.

Renewal is a normal part of city life.

If this gang doesn't dare identify itself, then it's certainly up to no good.
