Canada, being so huge, does not have internet infrastructure reaching everyone in rural areas. On top of that, we have amongst the highest prices of internet service, for the worst quality. The economy has gotten so bad, many people actually cannot afford internet services or their own computer/smartphone.

More and more studies are showing that too much internet use causes depression and anxiety. The internet has become more intrusive, and there is no guarantee for privacy.

More people are realizing they need to disconnect from this 'matrix' in order to be happier.
