Interestingly the congregations voted in Taul as Archbishop (peapiiskop) but at his consecration, Põder consecrated Taul as Bishop (piiskop) only - and made "acting archbishop until unification of the churches". This is a blatant manipulation of a free vote by church members and leads one to wonder what other manipulatiaons are being done.

Whatever....it doesn't matter. (and do you have proof?)

This decision to be made, under the churches of the EELK in exile, is and was in the hands of the congregations.
Regardless of who is believed to be manipulating the system, the fact remains that The congregations are the ones that had and have the authority and the power to vote for or against this unification.
So vote, own your power, vote for what you think is right. What you believe. I think most people agree that they understand the reasoning for the unification....it's to say...”Estonia is free, we are one!” But personally I don't think that many people feel they need the change right now, because they already feel this way and why fix something that aint broken. And for some, they could care less because it doesn't change the reason they go to church.

So, be understanding. Those who don't care, be understanding to those who it's important to. And those who think it's all a conspiracy.. try to chill out just a little.

You have to have faith that it is the right thing, and if it don’t feel right, it’s not right. No big deal. This is something that has to be dealt with care and with trust. I think what the previous poster is showing, is that they don’t trust that it is the right thing for them right now.
