Not a particularly welcome move! I daresay that the good and faithful sheperd Patriarch Kirill, who, sheperding such a huge flock of Christian compatriots will be seen as the antithesis of his predecessor who did much to drive forward the unity and common good of Russian Orthodoxy. I imagine there is probably considerably more religious honesty and not just mystic curiosity that has driven the Autonomous church these past decades.
