Most people will ignore this book. Of those few who read it, most will laugh and dismiss it.
That only leaves a miniscule kooky minority of Maxim-types, who believe everything that goes against the grain, to gobble it up and crow about their possession of the real truth.

I don't see how your lies are any different to the lies propounded by the authors of this book. I have always been a believer in the Republic of Estonia, but I have never agreed to the narrow-mindedness among many Estonians that passes for high Intellectualism. The embers of that kind of blasphemy still continue as we can see from one of the lone wolves who take shots at me without any reference to what their wild imagination lets loose in cyberspace. That Estonians underestimate the strength of the Russians among them is one of their biggest mistakes, since a lot of these people are actually the most patriotic people to have stayed here and build this country to what it is today. Only armchair critics like you sit far away and instead of dreaming sweet dreams, you live horrendous nightmares and then inflict them onto everyone else here.

Maxim's hyperbole is topped only by his exitability. Relax man. Let's keep things in focus. Yes, the book will only be read by a few in the west - the English language print run is very small. But the book yet again illustrates the spin Moscow puts on historical details the truth of which would be painful for them to acknowledge. Interestingly enogh they are embarrassed by unfavourable historical facts but not by blatantly changing crucial aspects of the near past, even knowing that few in the west are gullible enough to believe their version.
