People here respect democracy and are proud that I'm willing to stick my neck on the line for the sake of Eesti. I've written under other names as well, but there is no response to any of those comments. There is a simple reason for this; it proves that some people in the Toronto community suffer from an extreme case of Russophobia, or else they are so out of touch with life in Estonia that my comments are the only ones that can possibly begin to make them think along more rational lines. As usual, I am grateful to those people who support me and have expressed this sentiment to me personally. The barrage of nonsense aimed to offend me I take as an element of jealousy that is typical of certain types of personalities.

That's insulting to those of us who actually do something for Eesti, regardless of any political position you might have. Max - get real: there are but 5-6 people who are actually listening to you and only a small percentage of those people really even care.

It's in exceedingly bad taste to jeer at a person with mental problems.
That said, I wonder how else to respond to Maxim, who was born stupid and insane, and whose purpose in life is to harass his former community with provocations.
How does Maxim “stick [his] neck on the line for Eesti...”? By telling us that the Soviet occupation was legal; that Johan Bäckman and Naši are right; that the women of his mother's generation are sluttish and so forth, ad nauseum. He tells us that “[his] comments are the only ones that can possibly begin to make [us] think along more rational lines.”
An insane person can't appreciate the nature or quality of his acts. By this measure, Maxim is clearly insane. While he deserves our pity, he provokes anger and resentment.

Any reader of this paper can see that your remarks are the fruit of your own imagination. I have said none of these things, and until I have been proven guilty have no inclination to respond to blurb and nonsense from russophobes and freaks who would do anything to provoke a jab from a Naši disciple.
