What a pathetic piece of propaganda by those who have betrayed Estonia and turned the clock back 20 years to a time when this country was a province.
My wish for the new year will be that the euro collapses and Estonia gets the kroon back.

Very sad that people have been drawn into believing in the prospect that the Euro is likely to bring success and prosperity to Estonia. With the cost of living having only risen during the course of 2010, wages in a hopeless state of depression with no possibility of real medium wage rises in the next two or three years and shortfalls in the majority of Estonia's infrastructure and civil institutions, it is difficult to see how things will get better before they get worse. The Reform party is going to lose the next election without any particular push or shove from the left wing factions and Ilves is likely not to be voted back as President of Estonia because he has made too many errors of judgement, the last one being the denial of newspapers as sources of information to act independently and democratically, but always subject to risk of state prosecution. This situation is both absurd and anti-democratic to the extreme.
Every time I visit Estonia, all I hear from the locals is how they would like to leave. With the introduction of the euro, it will just get worse. I guess that soon there will just be a few Russian-Speaking Estonian citizens left there. Thank you Ilves!

Blaming Ilves for Estonian economy is like blaming the queen for Canadian economy. In Estonia, "president" is a ceremonian title, he does not run the country, government and prime minister do.
If as you say Ilves is a mere figurehead, then he should keep his mouth shut and should not be cheerleading for the permanent subjugation of the Estonian people to the international bankers' agenda. But then again, who does the CIA report to anyway?
Since the Kroon is already tied to the Euro, the only thing that is going to change, when Estonia adopts the Euro, is the note in your pocket. You will no longer be able to look at Lydia Koidula's handsome portrait as you buy some beer.
If there is something more involved in this change, please tell us what it might be.
Better still, explain it to the Ministry of Finance, the Government's policy advisors, economists and other informed observers.

This subject has been turned on its head during the past six months. Go back and read all the previous threads rather than presuming that it is better to re-invent the wheel.

You write with the same ambiguity that has made Maxim de la Trine famous.
You and Peter the holocaust-denier both waste a lot of ink. You warn us about an impending danger, without being able to specify what it is.
You two pretend to be men of vision in the Kingdom of the Blind. It's a pity that you're both dumb (in both senses of the term).
