The movement did get needed publicity. That is still a useful first step. A serious analysis of different political models is still needed. No system is currently flawless. They each have their good points and bad ones. Thirdly, a serious competitor to the current mainland party system may help the mainland shape up quicker. They are currently a group of individuals with too much corruption in their ranks. Shape up or ship out?
