1The two Marcuses deserve this joint honour and someday we should get them up on a stage together to accept our kudos.(Of course there are going to be some in our community who will think that they deserved it more, but what can you do?)
It would be interesting to see a list of Canadian parliamentarians who were also excluded from this great honour, and to figure out why? - Mere insignificance is a plausibly innocent explanation, but more sinister possibilities come to mind...
