What Goble describes should be obvious to everyone. Why can't Putin and Iskhakov see it?
to-Anonymous06 Mar 2006 11:43
I want Russians to stay in Estonia, especially with pressure building up for the EU to accept ioncreasing numbers of muslim immigrants. It is much easier to absorb so-called occupants who have lived in Estonia for 50 years or more than it is to absorb newly-arrived immigrants who haven't got any idea about what it means to live in northern Europe. Why can't you see the sense in that, Anonymous? Why keep up the Russian-bashing when the tide of migration is flowing the other way???

Here comes Maxim again. Your style such as the xxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxx xxx gives you away again. I am not going to give you the details because you may change your characteristic writing style and then it would be harder to spot you. Maxim , figure what the xxxx xxx mean above. Of course the pro Russian stance is also your trade mark. You must be very proud of Andrei Koroli at this time. Is he out of the Arab jail yet? You promised to stay away. Can't keep a promise can you !!!!
Russian bashing?06 Mar 2006 19:04
Through emigration and declining birth-rates, the proportion of ethnic Russians in the Russian Federation is falling like a stone. In response, Putin among others would like to lure ethnic Russians from places like Estonia to Kaliningrad (the AIDS capital of Europe dominated by the local mafia, corruption and high unemployment) and to Kamchatka (an isolated bald rock where economic prospects are poor).
I can imagine that three or four families will respond to his appeal, but most will stay put for reasons obvious to everyone but Putin and Maksim.
Where is the Russian bashing in this?
Peter06 Mar 2006 21:13
The EU is just an extreme leftist organization that still lives in the 1960s. Liberalism is nothing but a brain disease whose time has passed.
Only a return to nationalism and the ideas of Päts and other great Estonian leaders of the past will save Estonia. While I welcome the idea of Russians going back home the alternative, having crazies like the EU leaders promoting Muslim colonization of a dying Europe in the name of "diversity" is far worse. At least Russians are not blowing themselves up on crowded subway trains.

No doub about you, Peter. Your comments, your intellectual demeanour is always a cut above everyone else. Just look at the substance of the above comments; they contain nothing but hot air! When you arrive, the subject gets treated with Peter's typical brilliance. What you say about the EU is absolutely right, and I can't hep but notice the total avoidance of any mention of the Muslim problem. It seems that to others here Maxim is a far greater threat than any religiously ignited racial implosion. Talk about blind hatred.

You fail to see that a lot of Russians in Estonia have actually been successfully absorbed into the Estonian social fabric. The greater majority of these people, contrary to your stated opinion, have no desire whatsoever of moving to Russia. Why should they when their life and individual initiative to impove their lot has been spent here in Estonia? This is a well-known fact and has repeatedly been emphasized in Estonian opinion polls. Your suggestion to rid Estonia of these Russian immigrants implies that as an alternative to this loss of social capital, Estonia should see no inherent threat with other immigrants- more than likely of Muslim background who will fill their places. Are you just plain mad or what? You obviously can't see the damage caused by Canadian multicultural and immigration policy, and then you want to inflict the same outcomes on poor naive Estonia. Shame on you!!!

Maksim can't read.
to Maxim07 Mar 2006 09:14
Why not establish your own web-site?

Then your fan(s) could watch your ideas soar without annoying flak from those who can't appreciate your intellectual depth.
2 maxim07 Mar 2006 10:57
I'm surprised at the way you keep bouncing back after being viciously attacked. But, you have delivered some vicious attacks of your own (see above). So what's the difference here?
Only one thing, so far as I can see. Your attackers are right.

The more honest the opinions, the more nasty and selfish criticiscm it seems to generate among the incredibly shallow opponents that keep coming back for more. Maxim, keep it up; and you too Peter! I'm pleased that nothing seems to flaunt you guys, since obviously the determination to do your homework and share your thoughts honestly here is something that may well upset a few loud-mouthed opponents, but fortunately for most of your other readers-we want to see more of what you have to say! Keep it up!!
2 maxi07 Mar 2006 12:06
Maxim -- Do you really think that we don't recognise you behind the dot?
You are so silly, self-important and self-congratulatory. No one could possibly duplicate your inept English.
If I'm mistaken here, then I'll invite every fan of Maxim to identify themselves with a name and e-mail address. If more than two appear (let's not count phony ones posted by Maxim) then I'll quit this site forever. If less than two appear, then I'll invite Maxim to get lost and bug somebody else.
.07 Mar 2006 12:32
For your information, I'm not Maxim! You should know better that the intention here is to broaden the spectrum of ideas, and not to criticize everyone that has an opinion slightly different to your own. You are a total coward yourself in not displaying a primary interest in generating open discussion. Instead, you simply want to use every opportunity to cut down your opposition. Everyone can see that you have a very poisonous agenda-attack in order to defend yourself. Look and learn from Peter at least; he is a thorough Gentelman!!

commentary areas on the internet are meant to encourage intellectual exchanges ... not for someone to shout down or try to extinguish thought ... if the material offends you, go elsewhere, heaven knows there are lots of offensive sites on the internet
to Maxim08 Mar 2006 06:29
Respectfully, I suggest that you print this page of comments and lay it aside for about a week. Then as you re-read them with a fresh pair of eyes, a bit more objectively as other readers see them, you might see how easy it is to pick out the ones you posted. There are seven of them. You might also see why it is that you sound like a nut. Good luck.
to-to Maxim08 Mar 2006 09:31
And I would suggest to you that if you know the number- and that seems to be the only thing that keeps you interested in coming back here-then in all likelihood you wrote each and every one of them yourself! I for one am tired of the emphasis on organizing a "show trial" for certain people who comment here, and would humbly suggest that if you can't stomach opposition, go back into the shade and drink a nice cup of tea before you come here again. It might just help.
