An excellent essay.

The initial American non-recognition of the Baltic States by the Soviet Union must be connected to the Soviet-Nazi alliance that was in place when the Baltic countries were occupied.

(Can anyone explain why Poland's
allies declared war on Germany, but not on the Soviet Union, yet together they divided that country ?)

Anyone associated with the Bilderbergers, Council of Foreign Relations or Trilateral Commission is a proponent of one world government, and by definition is the enemy of any independent nation state.

Helmut Sonnenfeldt - BB/CFR/TC
Henry Kissinger - BB/CFR/TC

You sound just like Maxim, and we don't wonder why.
You have the same clumsy and disjointed manner of expression, the same boyish enchantment with secret societies and conspiracies.
Hinting that you possess secret knowledge is a Maxim trademark. It's like a neon sign flashing, "it's me, Maxim! You must respect me for my insights (even though I'm not going specify what they are.)"
You are a conceited bore, Maxim. That is a universal opinion.

I didn't know what the letters BB/CFR/TC meant, so I googled it. That led me to Google "illuminati". Now, I know where Maxim gets his "secret information".
For awe and amusement, try it; and welcome to the wonderful world of conspiracy theories, UFO's, etc. Such sites provide the sort of excitement appealing to boys, until puberty when they develop an interest in more important matters such as girls.

The information regarding the organizations was included in the note. So judging from your response, now that you have the information on Bilderbergers, Council of Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission, you believe these organisations to be a mere fantasy ?
Or did you find things that were not consistent with your view of the world ?

Vello has got it right more often than not. Thank Goodness we guys like him around when it mattered.
to Toomas Merilo18 Aug 2007 21:23
What do you mean by "more often than not"? I can't find anything to quibble about in this very substantial article. Please correct me if I've overlooked something.
Ederma is one of our national treasures.
Toomas Merilo18 Aug 2007 21:55
Vello is the quintessential cold warrior with a biting intellect and no shyness whatsoever. We owe him an enormous debt.

Tip of the hat to him. But in case you think he's perfect...

Well... oh by the the way, you have left no e-address, no way for me to contact you. Maybe you didn't wish to.
to Toomas Merilo19 Aug 2007 11:03
We know you as a sensible and informed observer of Estonian events. So, if you have comments to make about Ederma's article, here, you have many appreciative readers and one idler with a grudge.

Because you are alone in your category, Toomas, I must ask: by disclosing your identity and e-mail address, have you exposed yourself to abuse, spam or other unwelcome consequences?
Maxim.19 Aug 2007 12:57
Personally, I'd never want to write to Toomas, because he knows that I think he has a fairly narrow-minded scope for handling Estonian politics, and usually if you don't see things his way, it's difficult to get a nice word out of him. But he does his best in a community whose intellectual capacity has slowly been turning and burning this way and that, so I'm happy to see him stick to his guns and continue to back the community for the amount of life it still has vested in itself.
Toomas Merilo19 Aug 2007 15:01
You asked whether I have been exposed to spam or e-mail abuse by having revealed my e-address.

The short answer is no, because Eesti Elu has taken excellent precautions to prevent "BOTS" from mining e-addresses.

Also, no one to date has found my comments worthy of "flaming"... so I'm obviously not pissing off a large contingent.

As for anonymity, well it works for some. I prefer to know who's speaking.
to Toomas Merilo20 Aug 2007 12:46
Nice to know that disclosure hasn't produced any bad results. I'm surprised, but relieved.
I favour a policy of disclosure because it would screen out the odd troubled soul who comes here to exercise a grievance. Apart from that, I see no great advantage. If you like to know who you are talking to, Toomas, then you must be frustrated.
Anonymous20 Aug 2007 14:38
Chances of you "pissing off" a large contingent of readers would start the moment you begin to comment in the local Estonian online tabloids. You'd get shot down in flames whatever your opinion. In Canada, you only get shot down because of the community's strong anti-Conservative bent-it's as simple as that.
Toomas Merilo20 Aug 2007 18:17
" If you like to know who you are talking to, Toomas, then you must be frustrated."

You are correct.

if Merilo had interesting or unique thimgs to say he would get some points ... all he usually sends is some anti***** message

Toomas the link does not work on my computer so I do not have your email address.
Could you please drop me a line if you have a free moment?
Thanks.

Note that I've taken the additional precaution of putting the letters "REMOVE" in my e-address. Just delete the letters "REMOVE" and you'll have my e-address.
re: anonymity20 Aug 2007 19:05
Does anyone out there believe that the disclosure of identity would discourage Maxim from working out his evil here? ... Not a chance! In Toronto, he is well-known. His picture can even be found in the EE archives.
Disclosure would discourage most nuts, but not Maxim. He is a special case.
Anonymous20 Aug 2007 19:41
I looked at Maxim's picture and listened to the audio. He is not called Maximahv for nothing.
