and so what makes her unique from many of us who discovered this long long ago

We're all unique, Anonymous. Many of our stories may run in parallel, but each one is a little different.
Writing them down to share with others, if it's done with candour, can be a valuable experience for writers and readers alike.

It is critical that we write these stories. That is not the point.
Tiiu's story is heartfelt.

....and to be continued no less!

The first steak, first kiss, first time driving solo, first visit to the land of your parents or granparents, is always special. Do not belittle this womans expereince. Translation is hard work, and is there really space for an English story of what the esto retired peoples did at their last gettogether?
Don't belittle retired Estos. Have some respect for older people. If you are lucky you might join their ranks some day. I am always eager to learn from my elders. Looks like you are still wet behind the ears.
