Who is the Dumb A$$ responsible for this article?

Sorry but I did "tone down" my real opinion

This kind of information is good to know, especially now with the Estonian House General Annual Meeting coming up. It seems asbestos in the Estonian House is not nearly the problem some would have us believe.

This is NOT a big deal!
we have removed asbestos in our buildings... It is a procedure - that is all.

I believe that even if Estonian House is demolished the asbestos would need to have remediation.

Demolition
6. (1) The demolition of all or part of machinery, equipment, a building, aircraft, locomotive, railway car, vehicle or ship shall be carried out or continued only when any asbestos-containing material that may be disturbed during the work has been removed to the extent practicable. O. Reg. 278/05, s. 6 (1).

The Estonian House has been designated a heritage sight. More than the asbestos hazard, that constains the options for renovation, since the original school house is hidden behind extentions, both front and back.

sorry, but I'm still going modify my original comment. The ramifications of such an "official" disclosure really is in the realm of "D.A."

If you really do NOT understand the implications of such an "official" disclosure the "D.A" classification turns into MAJOR "D.A" a.k.a welcome to "cub reporter" status!

No boogieman12 Apr 2018 11:58
The article serves to remind the community that working with asbestos in renos is not the terrible boogieman that the EH board made it out to be to frighten people into voting in favour of Madison. They should have just stuck to the facts. There was no need to resort to such base tactics and it is now coming back to bite them.

Did you remove asbestos floor tiles in one of the classrooms and release asbestos fibers into the air for our children to breathe in?
Is the $25K cost for removal or sealing the asbestos?
Remont12 Apr 2018 09:28
No tiles were removed, new tiles were put over the old ones.
