Regarding Mr. Vaher's comments, we must keep in mind that his comments were his own personl opinions and in no way reflected those of the Estonian Government (Cabinet) nor the Republic. I find it hard to believe that Estonia would ever take such a stance. I agree with you that the crimes must be condemn and since we live in democratic nations, people do have the right to believe in which ever political system they desire.

I assumed that everyone knew that Mr. Leivat is the Honorary Consul General of Estonia and a heavy weight member of the expartriate Estonian Canadian society when I wrote the article.
If you read his article I think it is clear that he is in favour of an outright blanket condemnation of communism and not just its crimes.

So Mr.Peeter Bush, would the parallel be that Nazism was fine . . . only the crimes committed to support it were evil ?
