#7 says that " Canada is very much like the U.S. yet there are also some subtle differences. . . for example, in Canada it is considered rude not to say please and thank you." Is the writer implying that Americans are impolite ?
I have lived in, and travelled through many U.S. states and overall most Americans are far more courteous. I have encountered much more rude behaviour here the least of which has been not saying please and thank you.

The advice dispensed here is inane! If there's anyone out there that found it useful, they've got problems!
