Once again a well-known grass roots group of volunteers , as well as others with their hearts and priorities in the right place are demonstrating what community is all about and the direction that should be taken by ours , during these times of world history.
The organizers/helpers/participants(both Esto and Latvian) must be sincerely thanked for this combined effort at the Latvian Center , which has welcomed us Estonians with open arms. How incongruous that while these good people are having a bake sale for Ukraine, who is likely to be the precursor for the fate of the Baltics, many (not all) so-called "leaders" of our Estonian community, are squandering millions and taking the community into debt, in order to save face and build a useless, white elephant on Madison Ave. Imagine what could have be achieved with that kind money with a carefully thought out united plan. Not what is currently happening - a build at any cost - desperate for funds project. How sad and unfortunate for Estos , Latvians, Ukraine and the future.
Again kudos to those who helped at the sale !
