Enjoyed reading about my mother and her eternal optimism. She is an inspiration to us all. What a world this would be if we could all be just a little bit more like her. Congratulations Ema, on your eighty'th birthday.

I feel blessed to call Asta Kaups my mother. She has taught me so much that I use every day in my role as a pastor's wife. She has taught me that if you are going to commit to doing something for someone, do it with great joy. She has taught me the importance of having an open home that people can come and visit regularly.It is more important to have an open home and not have everything perfectly set then it is to have a perfect meal with all the trimming but only do it twice a year. She has always carried herself with grace and dignity and has always chosen to think the best of everyone. She always strives to see people as God sees them..,as worthwhile and worthy of respect.

Thanks mom for your great example! (and for trying to teach me good estonian writing skills...,oh well you succeeded in most areas)
