I inquired yesterday while donating blood - and was told indeed that those over 50 cannot donate bone marrow. I'm the same age as Ylona, otherwise healthy, but alas too old! Hope younger Estos in Toronto will take the time .

Tere, hi, I spoke with the registry today. They told me they keep the donors on file until their 60th birthday, and can take people anywhere up until their 51st birthday. I've sent the info out to some friends in the Czech community as well. It seems Eesti is in need of a bone marrow donation clinic; Finland and Lithuania show on the international website, I don't see one in Eesti. Hopefully I'm misinformed, but if not, we NEED this in Estonia as well!
