The 30-40% stat is bogus. Most weapons are either smuggled in from the U.S., or overseas. Toronto's gun/gang problem is the result of Jane & Finch: the largely Jamaican ghetto. Politically-correct, vote-pandering politicians like Miller would rather deflect blame away from Criminals of Colour, by picking on legal gun owners.

Protesting the Canadian Shooting Sports Association is particularilly rich for David Miller. Unlike the CSSA--a LEGAL organization--Hamas and the Liberation Tamil Tigers of Elam are BANNED TERRORIST GROUPS...yet Miller has had no problems attending their functions to troll for votes.

Miller (and Toronto Police) fudge numbers for guns stolen from registered owners all the time. Nobody knows the correct % for sure. Only around 16% of seized crime guns can be attributed to stolen handguns from Canadian owners.
