Alright… when I was in Tartu last week, the Royal wedding dominated the news. By the time I had gotten back to Tallinn, it was Osama bin Laden.

After a few quick enquiries, I was informed that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, ADM Mike Mullen, had recommended to Obama the[i] relatively low risk[i] option of simply bombing the compound, where Osama bin Laden was residing.

Of the multiple options Mullen presented, the President chose the riskiest one; namely, of sending in a team [i](Special Forces and CIA)[i] to try to extract Osama bin Laden alive or at least come away with his body. The reasoning was that the US needed to have certainty that it was, indeed, Osama bin Laden. They needed the body; they needed his DNA, they needed irrefragable evidence.

As for the burial at sea, after it was determined that no country wanted to be the site of his grave and being respectful of Islamic custom (the body must be buried within 24hrs), the US chose burial at sea. The media reasonably speculates that the main reason for the sea burial was to avoid the creation of a physical shrine for the terrorist. I have no first-hand knowledge.

I responded, because Olavi shouldn’t be allowed to get away with such remarkably ignorant and juvenile rubbish. And hic, to his credit, put me in my place too.

“Hic” has now shown his true colours with his latest post under the name “us government lies”.

The first one leads to a Reuters report citing a Pakistan security official’s comments (speculation/disinformation?) about what transpired during the raid.

Pakistan’s military is furious that the US violated the country’s sovereignty by not notifying Pakistan prior to the raid (note: they were notified after the raid had started). There were no Pakistani operatives to witness what transpired, but there was a survivor.

So what transpired? I don’t know. But “hic” obviously thinks he does.

Then “hic’s” second link is to an early CNN report about the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. It mentions that no large pieces of an aircraft are anywhere to be seen, and I guess that “hic” concludes there was no aircraft crash… that 9/11 was a US Government lie.

The plane that crashed into the Pentagon, was American Airlines Flight 77. It had 64 people on board (if memory serves correctly, three of them were the hijackers). So “hic”, tell the families of the 61 Americans that it didn’t happen. And oh yeah! I forgot to mention that some of these passengers actually phoned their families during the high jacking (aircraft phones) and told them what was happening.

Perhaps “Hic” believes that Flight 77 was “kidnapped” by some UFO and the 64 passengers are now somewhere in intergalactic space.

But enough already, I’m not going to go into detail about “hic’s” other “examples”, which include a short term cover-up of a (football hero) soldier’s death by “friendly fire” in Afghanistan and the exaggeration of the heroics of a kidnapped female soldier in Iraq.

“Hic” is obviously a troubled soul. I wish him well, but retract my previous post’s thank-you to him.
