Dyukov completely truthful - as a historian and as a person. All the material is documented. And in Estonia, now in power, neo-fascists, nationalists, and Russophobs. And that means the end of Estonia.
The previous comment only confirms that this web-site is constatntly monitored by anti-Estonian interests. Hey you guys in the Kremlin, can't you give these assignments to someone a bit more savvy and sophisticated?
Monitoring? With all the negative and destructive content and commentary aimed at community organizations and volunteers on this site, why would they need to hire someone to just monitor?
Where exactly is the 'negative and destructive' content?
There sure are some big egos and weirdos who troll the comment pages ("fans" of VS), but hey, it is still a free country. I applaud VS for showing restraints and in general allowing people to express their views, both negative and positive

Laas wrote in his article: [i]“[Djukov] in covering the annexation of the Baltic states and in describing the mass deportations of June 1941 … states that those were decisions that the Soviet Union was forced to take because of the situation with the war. He says that the June 1941 deportations were in essence a needed response to a war-time front-line situation.”[i]
I – not having read Djukov’s book – wonder how (or whether) Djukov addressed the mass deportations of 1949.
