0The devil is always in the details. The United Nation's ATT proposals, to date, have deficiencies. Yesterday, Canada's statement at the UN strived to direct attention to the deficiencies:
[i]Canada stresses the importance of the principle of national discretion and that the ATT should recognize the legitimacy of lawful ownership of firearms by responsible citizens for their personal and recreational use, including sport shooting, hunting and collecting.
