This film was screened in Toronto in the mid-1970's. I saw it and can report that it's as corny as a 1950's Roy Rogers horse opera.
Anyone planning on seeing it should smoke a little dope beforehand to turn it into an amusing experience. Otherwise, be prepared for some nauseating socialist kitsh.

0Please explain the socialist kitsh, I never got that out of the movie (no more so than in such classic films as Robin Hood).
I would rather suggest that anyone, who enjoys old movies with leads like Errol Flynn (sp), will most likely enjoy this film, which has been retouched with colour (originally black & white).
I say, time to dress up as your favourite caracter, as people do for The Sound of Music and other such "corny' films!

0Yeah, I was stoned on acid the last time I saw that film. You have to be stoned to like anything from the old country. If you don't like the stuff then stone it.
