Blame the webpage here. I read the article first in the paper edition, did not see that sentence - Did see "Then instead of flowers. fish were sold there. later in the paragraph was a sentence that ended with for the parade. I'm guessing that transfer to the website caused the drop out of the words in between, not the first time that this has happened....

Eri would hardly have gone to the trouble he did to defy the Estonian Police force specific instructions of NOT allowing the march to take place on that Saturday, if it weren't for the fact that he was a key figure at this particular Laulupidu. Let's face it; he really did take the law into his own hands, and I doubt whether that is an act worthy of applause.
