Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer Appointed

On behalf of the Credit Union's Board of Directors, I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Toomas Kütti to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Toomas has an extensive background in the financial services industry having worked in senior positions for BMO Nesbitt Burns, Trimark Investment Management and Royal Trust. Most recently he worked at the Ontario Securities Commission as their Manager of Business Planning and Reporting. In addition to financial services, Toomas has also worked in consulting and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Over the course of his varied career Toomas has been responsible for the development of a variety of financial services and products, development of management systems and processes and has consistently ensured that the resources he managed were effectively directed to the needs of the markets he served.

Toomas grew up in Toronto, was educated in local schools and attended university in Toronto and Ottawa. He is well known in the community and continues to participate in various Estonian organizations, including the Lembitu Scout Group. He is a director of the National Estonian Foundation of Canada and is a member of the Vironia Academic Fraternity.

Toomas assumes the position of President and CEO at the Estonian (Toronto) Credit Union on August 1, 2007. He is accountable to the Board of Directors for operation of the Credit Union. With Toomas’s appointment, the Credit Union has taken an important step in ensuring its continued success in a complex and continually changing financial services marketplace. On behalf of the membership, the Board welcomes Toomas Kütti to the Credit Union and wishes him every success in leading it into the future.
