Estonian citizens residing in Southern Ontario participated in considerable numbers in the advance polls for the March 4th Estonian Riigikogu elections.
On February 20, the first day of the two days of voting, over 500 people cast their ballots at the Toronto Estonian House. The voting was presided over by the Honourary General Consulate. On the photo Ellen Leivat checks a voter's ID while Consul General Laas Leivat looks over her shoulder.

Most of us know Laas and Ellen Leivat in the centre of the photo, but the others are unfamiliar, to me at least. All who were involved with the polling station should be photographed and identified by name because they deserve our appreciation and thanks for volunteering for a very important, although hum-drum, job. We should know who they are so that we know who to thank.
