The Estonian Motorcycle Club Association has organized The Baltic Chain Run, a ride to commemorate the Baltic Chain (Balti kett) that took place on August 23rd, 1989, when Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians joined hands in an unbroken chain across borders to mark in peaceful protest the 50th anniversary of the infamous Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

The event takes place on August 22, 2009, and all bikers are welcome to join the ride. It ends in Sigulda, Latvia, where an event-filled evening awaits the assembled.

Schedule:
On August 22 at 10.00 in the morning bikers start the ride at Toompea in Tallinn. Lithuanians start in Vilnius at the same time.

Latvians join on the borders. Bikers then continue on together towards Sigulda.

The program in Sigulda starts at 19.00 in the evening. Bands from all three countries perform to the participants. The site is situated in a beautiful location on the border of a lake just 3 km from Sigulda.
