When and where is this fabulous sale of yummy home-made goodies taking place? The date is Saturday, October 29th, the time is from 9AM to 1PM and the place is the Toronto Estonian House at 958 Broadview Avenue.
And you’re wondering who will benefit from this bake sale? The sale is in support of a group of young and “youngish” community-minded, enterprising, energetic volunteers who call themselves “Eesti Maja sõbrad” – “Friends of Estonian House”, who have made it their mission to fix up, to clean up and to make more comfortable and usable our community’s home on Broadview Avenue.
The next time you’re in Esto House, check out what the EM friends have done to spruce up the basement level hallways, the hallway gallery and classrooms! Next on the agenda, the EM friends are going to tackle the large hall (suur saal), a project for which mega gallons of paint will be required. To accomplish their goals, the EM friends will need “a little help from their friends”, that being everyone who loves and uses the “House” that is our community’s home.
What can you do to support the “Friends of Estonian House”? Contact Erika Jõgi at or Kristiina Valter at and let them know whether you will be bringing your “hot out of the oven baked goods” to Esto House for the sale on Friday evening October 28th or early Saturday morning October 29th.
And if baking is not your forte, no problem. Come and purchase the heavenly deliciousness that others have baked for you to enjoy. But if you are unable to make it to the sale on October 29th, no problem! You can support the gallant efforts of the “Friends of Esto House” by depositing or transfering some $$ to account #134210 at ETCU. Failing that, you could join the EM Friends club and donate your time and energy instead!
