An investigative journalist has raised the hackles of the medical profession by writing about pharmaceutical company-funded junkets taken by some Estonian doctors.
Physicians say her view casts unfair aspersions on the profession, though some medical professionals concede there is more than a grain of truth in it and that ethics in the field could be better.
The journalist, Kadri Jakobson, has been writing in business daily
Äripäev about what she portrays as the dubious ethics of Estonian physicians going to conferences that promote a company's medicinal products.
