Danny Marks at the Estonian House
31 Aug 2007 EWR Online
Blues fans and Estonians alike, often one and the same, should mark Wednesday September 5th in their calendars and head to the concrete bunker on Broadview also known as the Toronto esto house, recently victim of an electrical fire.
Famed bluesman Danny Marks and Friends are headlining a fundraiser show aptly advertised as an “hot evening at the Estonian house of Blues.” Marks has an incredible repertoire of material, and he needn’t stick to the blues. Legend has it that Marks even played an opera tune when so requested by a member of the audience at a recent gig in Finland. Marks is also a local radio broadcaster, and his knowledge of popular music borders on the paranormal. He is willing to provide backing to any singers that wish to join him on stage, chances are that your selection of song will sound much better than in would alone, in your shower.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., tix are $10 + (donation) at the door.
All proceeds to assist the Estonian House, 958 Broadview, in updating security and fire alarm systems.
