At the traditional annual St. George’s Day (Jüripäeva) parade held on April 25th, where our scouting and guiding youth are honoured for their efforts and contributions to the movement during the year, a serious request was made at the end that we would like you to consider.

Ain Allas (1952-2009) was an exemplary Scout Youth Leader and father, whose unexpected passing this year left a noticeable void in our ranks. Ain was also a huge fan of Camp Kotkajärve throughout his life.

The Allas family has asked, that those who wish to remember Ain’s passion for Scouting and Kotkajärve, do so with a tax-deductible memorial contribution to Camp Kotkajärve, via the National Estonian Foundation of Canada. Please make your donation, noting that it is made in the name of Ain Allas to support Scout & Guide Camp “Kotkajärve” by cheque, payable to NEFC.
