Film studio Umberto & Ko from Estonia producing documentary films seeks contact with people who have preserved any film or video footage (and photo materials) of the tour of the Estonian Prima Ballerina Kaie Kõrb in the Canada, USA and Mexico in 1989.
Film studio Umberto & Ko has been active for almost 20 years, producing TV programs and films. Our latest film was a documentary by Kristiina Davidjants, "Palusalu", a film about the national hero of Estonia, the two times Olympic Champion in wrestling Kristjan Palusalu. At the moment Umberto is producing a documentary film about the long time Estonian Prima Ballerina Kaie Kõrb, the working title being "Kaie Dances Dance Macabre" The director of the film is Ruti Murusalu, an experienced director and author of many dance programs and concert recordings.
The director remembers that a company of six ballet dancers including the biggest names of the Russian ballet of the period Vladimir Vasiliev and Ekaterina Maksimova, but also our Estonian ballerina Kaie Kõrb, went on a three months tour to the United States, giving several concert performances in different cities.
