The Toronto Latvian Concert Association (TLCA) is presenting bass-baritone Egils Silins in recital at the Glenn Gould Studio, 250 Front Street West, Sunday February 18, 2007 at 7:00 pm. This is a Champagne Reception Fundraiser for the TLCA.

Tickets for the recital are $33, Reception only $60, Recital and Reception $90. RSVP by February 8, contact number and email below.

Internationally acclaimed bass-baritone Egils Silins made his debut at the Latvian National opera in 1988. A soloist with the Frankfurt, Basel and Vienna State Operas, he has sung leading roles at Glyndebourne, La Scala, the Met and other major opera houses in Berlin, Chicago, Zürich and Hamburg. In February 2007, he will be performing the role of Mephistopheles in the Canadian Opera Company productions of Gounod's Faust.

This recital will be a rare opportunity to hear Mr. Silins in the intimate setting of the magnificent Glenn Gould Studio - for his second appearance with the TLCA.

Meet the artist: The TLCA will be hosting a champagne reception for Mr. Silins following the concert, as a fundraiser for the organization.
