The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has just announced that the Department of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Department of State, has compiled a list of fifty three countries whose citizens are eligible to participate in the H-2A and H-2B programs for 2011. Estonia is among the nations eligible under these programs and it stands alongside Japan, Canada, Ireland and dozens of other nations with whom the United State enjoys a strong working relationship.
There are two distinct programs under the H-2 Visa structure: the H-2A program which allows U.S. employers to bring foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary positions within our nation's agricultural sector, and the H-2B program which allows U.S. employers to bring foreign nationals to the United States for temporary positions in other sectors. The newly released list of nations comes into effect starting today.
