Estonia's new President Kersti Kaljulaid has named Toronto-born Kyllike Sillaste-Elling as her Foreign Policy Advisor.
Just a few months ago Kyllike Sillaste-Elling was appointed as the Permanent Representative of Estonia to NATO, effective as of Aug. 1, 2017.
Sillaste-Elling received her bachelor´s degree in history in 1993 from the McGill University in Montreal and her master´s degree in political science in 1995 from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Sillaste-Elling has worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1996, both as Director of the European Union Department and Director-General of the Policy Planning Department. She has also worked as Director of the Minister´s Chancellery and she has been employed at the Estonian Embassy in both London and Washington.
Sillaste-Elling most recently worked as the Political Affairs Undersecretary in the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
