For years, Estonia and most of Eastern Europe reckoned altitude according to "Kronstadt zero," but from now on, sea level will be measured in relation to Amsterdam zero point.
Surveyors met on the Estonian-Latvian border on November 16 to perform measurements that are among the final steps before the European Combined Geodetic Network is established this autumn.
