The information below is regarding 954-958 Broadview Ave and 72 Chester Hill Road development location, formerly owned by the Toronto Estonian House and the Estonian Foundation of Canada.

Diamond Kilmer group, the current owner of 954-958 Broadview Ave and 72 Chester Hill Road, has filed an appeal with the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) on their development application.

This appeal is based on the proposal they submitted on November 23, 2020 to construct a 16 storey residential building with 223 units and one retail space, and the refurbishment of Chester School.

Since filing their appeal the developer has contacted City Legal and offered to settle the appeal if the City would approve a 14 story residential building.

A report on this matter will be heard at the October 14 meeting of the Toronto and East York Community Council that recommends the City Solicitor attend the Tribunal hearing to oppose the application in its current form and to continue discussions with the applicant to resolve outstanding issues.

City Planning full report can be read online here.

The OLT has scheduled a virtual Case Management Conference for 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 16, 2021.The applicant is responsible for notifying every owner of land within 120 metres of the site at least 30 days prior to the date of the event. If a condominium development is located within 120 metres of the subject land, notice may be given to the condominium corporation.

Anyone who intends to request party or participant status at the hearing must attend the virtual hearing. You can find the contact information for the Ontario Land Tribunal online here: https://olt.gov.on.ca/contact/...
