Estonians are serious about water sports, and the purchase of two German competitors shows that Tahe Outdoors is serious about claiming top spot in the European kayak market.

Tahe, where brothers Marek and Janek Pohla own a controlling stake, plans to transfer most production to Estonia but keep the German shops. A niche market to be sure, but the deal shows that Estonian entrepreneurs are making strides outside the IT sector.
