The chancellor of justice will appear in the state court the constitutionality of the pending legislation prohibitting party coalitions during municipal elections.

The government is not supporting legislation proposed by the People's Federation which would increase by 3000 crowns the current income tax exemption of 12,000 crowns.

The governmetn declared the nullification of 181 regulations which had lost their legailty.

On June 1, Estonia as the first country will recognize all laws carried electronically to be equally valid as those presented on paper.

The Estonian and European parliamentary joint-committe at a session in Tallinn declared a unified stance on the question of low agricultural quotas applied against Estonia.

Foreignb minister Kristiina Ojuland leaves for Japan on June 1 to sign the co-operation protocol between the two countries.

The term of appoint for Estonia's ambassadopr to Italy, Jaak Joeruut ends in July. He will be replaced hy Juri Seilenthal.

The government procurement office sent documents to Tallinn courts pertaing the allegedely illegal transactions of the state information and communications fund with respect to car leasing deals.

In the future, failing to appear in court may result in courts case being judged against the missing party. This would help in speeding up the currrent slow pace of court proceedings.
