The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Estonia did not violate the rights of 45 retired Russian military officers who were denied a pension.
ERR NewsThe plaintiffs, who are paid a special pension under an annex to the 2004 Russian-Estonian troop withdrawal agreement, say that other groups of pensioners are not restricted from receiving an Estonian pension.
However, the Court said on November 4 that Estonia's view of the 2004 troop withdrawal agreements as historic and unique was valid.
