Toronto Eesti Selts kuulutab, et pühapäeval, 24. veebruaril 2019 a toimub Eesti Vabariigi Aastapäeva Aktus ja lipu heiskamine Eesti Maja ees kell 12:00 p.l. Enne lipu heiskamist toimub Toronto Eesti Baptisti kirikus alates 11:00 ühine jumalateenistus. 101. a Vabariigi Aastapäeva aktus algab 1:00 p.l. Eesti Maja suures saalis. Uksed avatakse 12:30 p.l. Tänavuse aasta aktusega kaasnevad ka lõunasöök ja kontsert kus on palju häid võimalusi kokku saada tuttavatega.
Lõunasöögiks pakutakse šnitslit, hapu kapsast, kartuleid, kringlit, kohvi ja lastele viinereid. Muusika esitavad Estonia Koor ja Kõla Orkester. Head kaasalaulmist kõigile. Tule pidutse oma pere ja sõpradega!
Piletid maksavad $40 täiskasvanutele, $25 õpilastele, ja $10 lastele (12 ja nooremad). Pileteid saad osta Toronto Eesti Seltsi kioskist Rahvajõulupuul, mis toimub 8. detsembril. Alternatiivselt saad osta pileteid Epp Aruja käest. Tema e-post on ja telefon on 416-447-8958.

The Toronto Estonian Society wishes to announce the Estonian Independence Day Ceremony for 2019. The formal flag-raising ceremony will be held on the front lawn of the Estonian House shortly after 12 noon, following the joint ecumenical church service beginning at 11:00 AM at the Baptist Church on Sunday, Feb. 24th. The Formal Celebration commemorating the 101st anniversary of Estonia’s independence will be held at the Estonian House Grand Hall, beginning at 1 PM (doors open at 12:30). This year, a luncheon will be provided, along with a concert, with plenty of opportunity to mingle and socialize with friends.
The luncheon will consist of schnitzel, sauerkraut, potatoes, salad, kringel, coffee and viinerid for the children. Seating will be by tables rather than theatre-style. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Estonia Choir and Kõla Orchestra. In addition, there will be ample opportunity for everybody to sing along – a true celebration for families and friends!
Tickets will cost $40 for adults, $25 for students, and $10 for children 12 & younger. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Toronto Estonian Society booth at the Rahvajõulupuu to be held on Dec. 8th or they can be purchased from Epp Aruja at or by phone 416-447-8958.
This event will be free for all Estonian war veterans courtesy of Eesti Korporatsioonide Liit. If you are a veteran, please identify yourself as a war veteran when you register so that we can honour your presence.
