The Minister of Government Services, Gerry Phillips, became the latest Ontario Liberal minister to speak to the ethnic media this week, saying essentially the same thing that Premier Dalton McGuinty said last month, but without the slagging.
He was reminded by a journalist of the time he visited the Toronto Esto House in the eighties, to a Black Ribbon Day press conference when he was the only politician there.
Mr. Phillips spoke generally of what he wanted to see happen in his ministry. An invigorating speech, free of the Premier’s grandiloquence.
