The government ruled to finish the Enterprise Estonia Fund’s BrandEstonia project in its present form. This project had sought to build an easily identifiable image for the country, and it had already received more than eight million kroons in government funds. Its implementers sought a total of almost 40 million kroons to build the brand of image Estonia. Minister of Economic Affairs, Liina Tõnisson, said work in the sphere of national brand building would continue with promoting tourism and export and attracting foreign investment by Enterprise Estonia. "The government found it important in agreement with the coalition accord for Enterprise Estonia to pay more attention to familiarizing both local and foreign investors with the Estonian business environment," the minister added. The government supported the ministry's proposal to set up a marketing department at Enterprise Estonia to fulfil these tasks.
