ERR More children are born out of wedlock in Estonia than in any other EU country, reports a study released by Eurostat.
In 2008, 59.9 percent of Estonian children had parents that were not married. Next on the list were Sweden with 54.7 percent and Slovenia with 52.8 percent.
The country with the least children born as a result of non-marital relations is Greece, with 5.9 percent. The only EU country not to see an increase was Denmark (46 percent), where there was no change.
