IEC team meets with Chair of the Estonian Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Representatives of the International Estonian Center (IEC) team met with Enn Eesmaa, Chair of the Estonian Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, in Toronto on September 11, 2019 to discuss the Centre's progress and how it fits within Estonia's Foreign Policy Development Plan 2030. "The Centre is impressive for its outstanding architectural design, and easily accessible downtown location. The detailed planning for a project of this complexity is to be commended, " said Mr. Eesmaa. "Supporting the Estonian diaspora is one of the four main objectives of Estonia's Foreign Policy Development Plan 2030, and it is heartening to personally witness the active community of Estonians in Toronto who are expanding Estonia's global cultural footprint."

Okay so this whole Madison project is starting to get a bit stinko.....
1) Dirty windows
2) Dead birds
3) No parking
4) Covering up a mistake made by the Estonian Credit Union purchasing the heritage Monk's House and now pawning it off to the "International Estonian Centre" to recover their mistake.
5) Building above a subway line
6) Creating disharmony and disunity within the Estonian Toronto community
7) Dismantling the Estonian House, to create less traffic (closure of both the cafe and E-store)
8) Failure to seriously consider voting in a new Estonian House Management that will have a mandate to preserve the Esto House through renovations, fundraising and event management

Somebody mentioned pigeon droppings earlier....my main concern is over how many bird deaths will be anticipated each year, due to birds flying into this glass structure. I'm sure downtown architects have some relevant numbers they can share with us. Then again maybe not.
