Some members of parliament will be studying an age-old question this spring: how can Canada be more like Estonia?
Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the tiny Baltic country has turbocharged its government services, becoming the first nation to allow citizens to vote online and offering a slew of amenities through a single digital portal. Wired Magazine even deemed the country “E-stonia, the world’s most digitally advanced society.”...........

Canada, being so huge, does not have internet infrastructure reaching everyone in rural areas. On top of that, we have amongst the highest prices of internet service, for the worst quality. The economy has gotten so bad, many people actually cannot afford internet services or their own computer/smartphone.
More and more studies are showing that too much internet use causes depression and anxiety. The internet has become more intrusive, and there is no guarantee for privacy.
More people are realizing they need to disconnect from this 'matrix' in order to be happier.
